“What Would You DO If You Knew you could not fail?”
First posed by First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt, this is the question I have asked myself over the years. Always, it’s led me to make terrifying and bold choices that inevitably, changed my life. At 18, I moved to Florida and completed the Disney College Program. At 21, I took this hottie and studied abroad in Belize as a newlywed.
I’ve asked this question before leaving or accepting new jobs. Before buying and selling homes. Before every risk and every opportunity. Always, with a little fear and a bit of a “let’s do this” mentality.
So here I am. My name is Mandy, I’m married to Blake, and we have two villainous pups named Finn and Atticus. I feel most alive when I’m traveling or when I’m out of my comfort zone. I love poetry, acoustic guitar, and slow mornings. I’ve played business analyst and fantasy YA connoisseur. I’ve loved skydiving and scuba diving alike but have yet to master my fear of cliff jumping.
For years I’ve been the designated trip planner, begging my friends to let me plan their family vacations or better yet, take me with them. So when I asked myself, “What could you do if you knew you could not fail?” it was this. Write about the things I love most as I explore this world.
I’m so excited you’re here. Let’s go.
